Pam Calhoun, a native Houstonian, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston Downtown
Campus with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in December of 1979.
In January of 1983 she graduated from South Texas College of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree.
She passed the Bar Exam and was licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas in May of 1983. Pam
opened her first law office in August of 1983 and has been in private practice since that time.
In December of 1988 Pam became Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
According to the 2006-2007 State Bar of Texas Attorney Statistical Profile there are 79,409 licensed
attorneys in Texas. Of these, only 705 are board certified in family law.
Board Certification is a voluntary designation program for attorneys. The requirements are stringent, the
preparation rigorous, and the investment of time and energy substantial. The rewards to the Attorney and
the benefits to the client are enormous.
Pam Calhoun limits her practice to family law cases only and handles cases in Harris County, Fort Bend
County and Montgomery County.
